Power of the Purse – Time to Catch Up
Time to catch up!
March 5th, 2011 I participated in the Power of the Purse. What an honor !
I designed a bag with Kristy Lee Cook of American Idol Fame. She was talented, beautiful, confident and creative. I enjoyed every minute with Kristy! We designed a purse made from a pair of red Twisted X boots. It auctioned for $3200!
I was privileged to design another bag with Gert Boyl, President of Columbia Sportswear. She’s truly “One Tough Mother”! She is captivating, determined and oh the great things I can learn from this great business woman.
I also was graciously introduced to Gert’s daughter, Sally Baney, owner of Moonstruck Chocolates and her chocolatier, Julian Rose. I couldn’t stop grinning thinking of all sorts of animals made out of chocolate while wearing my new Columbia sportswear pull over jacket! What a treat! The purse I made for Gert was made from a pair of Sorrel boots, dark grey leather, with lacing, swarvoski crystals and a a tease of fur dancing across the top of the bag. It raised $2600 for Girls Inc.
It was my pleasure and joy to be a part of this great foundation and help these young girls realize their potential! Shoot for the stars, remember what your knees are for and always treat others the way you want to be treated, girls. Peace!
More pictures later!
