Diamond 57 Leather Goods
Sue Roake is the creative mind behind Diamond 57 leather goods and the iconic cowboy boot purses. Originally from Gresham, Oregon, she conceptualized and brought to life the unique design of the Diamond 57 Cowboy Boot Purse in the year 2000.
The inspiration for these distinctive bags came when Sue’s husband experienced an unfortunate accident that rendered him unable to wear his beloved cowboy boots anymore. Rather than letting these beautifully hand-crafted boots collect dust in the closet, Sue saw an opportunity to transform them into something meaningful. These boots had been a part of numerous adventures during their travels and experiences showing miniature horses, and Sue wanted to preserve those memories in a functional, creative, and stylish manner.
Our family brand the “Diamond 57” was created from the inspiration of my husband. Because of him all this was possible. He was born in 1957, We have 5 children and there are 7 in our family, so I recognized 57 was meant to be.
The diamond shape was designed to represent taking something rough, worn out and tired, and giving it the opportunity to become something beautiful, useful and once again treasured, just like a diamond in the rough.
We have since moved to Arizona where you can find us at many horse shows, festivals and events.
